As a Multi Media Sales Executive, I deal with advertising across multi-media platforms. We’ve recently introduced radio alongside the already established print and digital sectors. This ensures we give the customer direct access to their specific markets.
Yes, it’s been a crazy 12 months!
The creativity is huge now. You can really think outside the box without worrying whether or not it’s within your limits. If it’s within your thinking, we can do it. It’s fun to be involved right now and the last year has been exciting. The next year…that’s just going to skyrocket. That’s what I’m really looking forward to.
I really enjoyed learning at Abertay. I use the skills I was taught all the time.Jayson Alexander | DC Thomson | Multi Media Sales Executive
When I came out of University I started working at Dundee Football Club. I was a Strength and Conditioning coach for their youth system, before I moved up to assist with the First Team. From there I ended up running my own gym. That was going fine, but it was 24/7 and my wife fell pregnant.
After my son was born, I found that I was still working all the time and wasn’t getting the chance to spend as much time with him as I’d have wanted.
I went out and spoke to friends about potential opportunities elsewhere. One of my previous clients told me there was an opportunity at Wave, and that’s where I ended up.
When we started speaking about sales, I realised I’d been doing it for years without knowing. Every person that came through my door represented a sale. It ended up being quite a simple transition.
I moved from Livingston to go to Abertay and I really enjoyed learning there. I use the skills I was taught all the time.
