You can apply via OASIS, our online student portal, once you have firmly accepted a conditional or unconditional offer to study with us.
To access the Residences Application in OASIS:
You will be asked to make five accommodation choices in order of preference with one being your first choice. Five choices must be made in order to complete the application.
If you would like to apply for Parker House you must apply through us in the first instance. Parker House lets rooms directly to our returning students and students from other institutions in and around Dundee, but we have a large number of rooms set aside for our new students.
You can notify us of any other important information or any specific requests regarding sharing with friends, alcohol-free accommodation or a disability in the ‘Additional Requirements’ section.
Disabled students are strongly encouraged to discuss their needs as soon as possible with the Student Advisor for disabled students. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01382 308833
If a paper application is required, you should contact us. Please note that paper applications will only be issued once the application is open and your offer to study at Abertay is firmly accepted.
While we will make every effort to match your stated accommodation preferences, limited availability means this cannot be guaranteed.
Applications will only be considered from students who are prepared to accept the terms of the Student Residences Agreement for their full period of study in the relevant academic year. This is a legally binding agreement and you should not accept the terms without fully understanding their meaning.
If you're a new or first-entry student, and you've accepted a conditional or unconditional offer of study and plan to study with us for the full academic year, we will guarantee you accommodation, irrespective what year of your degree programme you are entering.
Allocation priority will also be given to international students who are new to Dundee and plan to study for a full academic year.
Allocation priority is also given to new or first time students who plan to study at Abertay for a minimum of one full academic year. Please note we only have a limited number of rooms available for students studying with Abertay for one semester.
The application will show 40-week and 51-week options, so please remember to note that you are studying for one semester only in the 'Additional Requirements' section and then select your choices.
Subject to demand, we are offering students the chance to apply for alcohol-free accommodation in our halls of residence (Parker House is not included). Anyone assigned to this type of accommodation (including their guests) must not bring alcohol into the flat (whether for cooking or other consumption). Doing so will contravene your agreement with us.
If you would like to apply for alcohol-free accommodation please note this in the preferences section in the 'special needs/comments' field. We cannot guarantee an offer of this type of accommodation since it is subject to demand.
Our lease is a legally binding document and should not be entered into without careful consideration.
It is important to read carefully and understand all aspects of the lease before signing/accepting it. If you would like independent and impartial legal advice, please visit Shelter Scotland and Citizens Advice Bureau.
You can contact us to ask any question about the lease or any other aspect of our accommodation.
