Abertay Men's Football Team

Last year saw the Men’s and Women’s Club merge for the first time forming the new and improved Abertay University Football Club. This is a positive step in the right direction for both teams, two heads are better than one.

Abertay University Men’s Football Club has achieved huge success over the past three years; in 2015/16 they reached the pinnacle of Scottish University football winning the BUCS 1A title. In the 2016/17 season the team reached the final of the historic Queens Pak Shield and they consistently get the better of main rivals Dundee University in league, cup and varsity. After finishing mid table in 1A last season the team need to build and concentrate on a second league title. In order to achieve this the team have brought in new coaching talent to the squad. The club have also entered a third competitive team into BUCS for the first time insuring a push for team places.

Woman’s Football is traditionally one of the strongest clubs at Abertay and has enjoyed much success in the past. The 2017/18 season was no exception to this as the team earned a historic treble winning the league title, Conference Cup title and Varsity beating main rivals Dundee University in each. This success saw the club awarded with the Abertay University Winning Ways Trophy at the Sports Awards Ball. The team will be looking to build and secure their hard earned promotion in BUCS Scottish 1A.
