Who will build the future the human race?

The bedrock of every engineering project – no matter how complex – starts with the hopes and dreams of real people.

Prepare to have your perception of engineering turned on its head as the award-winning filmmaking team at MacGillivray Freeman Films reveal the grandeur, heart, humanity and optimism that exists within every problem-solving project.

This is the story told by Dream Big.

Narrated by Academy Award® winner Jeff Bridges, the film marks the first Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) feature shown in IMAX® and giant-screen theatres.

It aims to offer a fresh perspective on engineering and hopes to inspire children from diverse backgrounds to become the innovators, educators and leaders who will improve the lives of people across our entire planet throughout the 21st century.

Get Involved!

5.45pm – 8.45pm - Professional members of ICE, College students, Abertay students and members of the public to come to Abertay to view film in Main Lecture Theatre.

Following the film there will be refreshments and for those interested: an opportunity to meet members of the ICE and organisations who employ civil engineers (including Mott MacDonald, Fife Council, Balfour Beatty, Dundee City Council, Morrison Construction, Angus Council, and Robertson Construction) to learn more about career possibilities.

If you’re a school representative …
…. and you have some students that would like to get involved, please do get in touch: Cheryl Torano - c.torano@abertay.ac.uk
