CBI Scotland speak at Abertay University business breakfast
The Director of CBI Scotland spoke to an invited audience of local business professionals today at the Dundee Business School of Abertay University.
Iain McMillan was the guest speaker at the latest business breakfast hosted by Dundee Business School, where academics meet with local and national professionals to share business knowledge and experience. The occasion also celebrated Dundee Business School’s 20th birthday.
CBI Scotland has also joined the ‘Friends of Dundee Business School’ network, a new partnership designed to strengthen the collaboration between business and education experts in Tayside.
Professor Sabine Hotho, Head of Dundee Business School, said: “We’re delighted to welcome a business leader of Iain’s calibre to our DBS business breakfast.
“For Scotland’s economy to grow and thrive in the future, collaboration between the experts running our successful companies and the experts teaching the new generation of entrepreneurs is absolutely essential.
“The Friends of Dundee Business School network brings together all of that expertise to look at ways companies and educators can work together to everyone’s benefit, and we very much welcome the involvement of CBI Scotland in this work.”
Membership offers the opportunity to partner with business academics, and also gives access to the student consultancy teams and Dundee Business School’s extensive talent pool of students for project work, internships or employment.

As well as offering undergraduate, postgraduate and research opportunities, Dundee Business School recently launched a new-look, flexible Master of Business Administration (MBA) course.
The flagship MBA programme was radically redesigned – taking on board the views of national and international employers in all sectors, and delivering the new course in flexible four-week modules.
Each four-week module consists of four intense days of professional seminars, minimising the time required away from work. The modules can be completed individually for professional development, and flexibly built into the full MBA qualification.
