Because of this we have developed innovative courses with the other Schools at Abertay. Our courses in Bioinformatics, Health Sciences and Natural Resource Management are the fruit of this collaboration, and our involvement in Abertay's research institutes places us at the forefront of the unified science of the 21st century.

• In 2002 the UK Government's analysis of research found that our Environmental Science group is the best in Scotland and one of the best in the UK.

• With over 70% of our 600 undergraduates coming from Tayside our position as a Scottish centre of science excellence is secure.
