Pioneering MSc courses at
the University of Abertay Dundee
The UK Government has announced that its two top priorities for national security are in counter-terrorism and cyber-security. The School of Computing and Engineering Systems is pioneering innovation in these areas to align with this call to produce professional postgraduates not only in the UK but also for the international market.
Many academic staff who teach on the MSc courses have substantial international teaching, research and employment experience of public, private and non-profit sectors. The Ethical Hacking and Computer Security course is already established in attracting an international population of students and the uniqueness of the Intelligence and Security Informatics course is set to do likewise, along with brand new courses in Digital Forensics and .
The School has active external links to international research networks and to local and national ventures including NCR and Tayside Police. Additional links are being developed in alignment with course development in order to keep the research and teaching embedded in contemporary and relevant issues in Intelligence and Cyber-security.
