How to Apply

The Access to Higher Education at Abertay Dundee (AHEAD) programme is a stimulating, part time evening programme designed to support individual efforts no matter what qualifications are held. In addition to providing guided personal study and new transferable skills, successful completion will enable entry to a number of degree courses at the University.

When: Monday evenings, 6.00 - 9.00pm, Thursday evenings, 6.00 - 9.00pm
Where: University of Abertay Dundee, Bell Street, Dundee
Entrance requirements: No formal qualifications are required
Cost: £200 (ILA funding might be available)

What you study

The AHEAD programme commences in mid-October and runs for 17 weeks. Two core modules are studied:

  • People Need Numbers
  • Introduction to the PC
and an option module selected from:

  • Business & Its Environment
  • Scotland Needs its Science & Scientists
  • Personal Lives & Social Worlds

Entry routes

Overseas
As this course is only available on a part-time basis, it is generally not appropriate for overseas applicants.

Information on course structures and modules is drawn from 2011/2 data and may be subject to change without prior notification. Students who are registering with us will be provided with the up to date information on their course structure in order to allow them to register on the appropriate modules
