Following the success of SUDS online for the past nine years, we have expanded the range of courses on offer.
The courses available are:
SUDS Concept & Design Principles (formerly SUDS online)
This course covers: background to SUDS; storage and treatment; levels of risk; layout and other urban elements; SUDS components; sizing criteria; treatment train; levels of treatment; survivability; design methods.
SUDS Operation & Maintenance (SOAM)
This course covers: urbanisation & water; what is sustainable drainage?; common SUDS techniques; inspection and maintenance: what is it, why is it necessary and what is involved?; inspection and maintenance: the nuts and bolts, and health and safety.
SUDS for Roads (S4R)
This course covers: design, approval, designing streets, selection tool, flowcharts, roads hierarchy, local roads design standards; road construction consents; incorporating services, levels of treatment, worked examples.
Who should enrol?
The courses are designed for both experienced staff wishing to inform themselves about SUDS systems, and for younger professionals who require a basic knowledge of modern approaches to drainage systems.
