Intro

This two day short course is designed for engineers, planners and regulators who need to be introduced to the latest knowledge and thinking on SUDS drainage.  The course is primarily for those involved in the implementation of developments which require SUDS systems.

The course follows the format run over the past few years in collaboration with many Scottish Councils with the course tutors Professor Chris Jefferies and Ms Alison Duffy.

Cost: £125 plus VAT per person per day
Venue: Dundee

What you study


This course covers the basic principles of SUDS - the SUDS triangle; quality, quantity and amenity.  The different components available including basins, ponds, swales, permeable paving etc.  Ways of addressing water quality and flooding issues.  Drivers for design.  Principles of hydrological and sit design, catchment planning, source, site and regional controls and the treatment train.
