Arrival to the University

Collection dates for keys to all residences are Saturday 10th September 2011 and Sunday 11th September 2011 between the hours of 10am and 4pm.  If you are arriving outwith these times please email us on accommo@abertay.ac.uk as soon as possible to discuss alternative arrangements. 

Please note that these dates relate to all residences except Opal 1.  If you have a room in Opal 1 you will receive information in advance of your arrival detailing available arrival times.

Opal 1

Check in and collection of keys for your room in Opal will be from the office at Opal 1. 

Getting to your accommodation

• By train
  There are good services to Dundee from most of the UK, direct from London (King’s Cross Station), Edinburgh, Glasgow (Queen Street) and Aberdeen.  Details can be found on the National Rail Enquiries website.  We recommend that you take a taxi from the station to your residence, especially on your first visit when you will be laden down with suitcases

• By air 
  Most air travellers arrive at Edinburgh or Glasgow and travel on by train.  If you do arrive at Dundee airport there are always taxi-cabs available

• By bus
  There are very good services from all over the UK to Dundee. Check out National Express and Citylink for details.  We recommend that you take a taxi from the bus station to your residence, especially on your first visit when you will be laden down with suitcases

• By car 
  If you are coming from the south and west you will approach Dundee via Perth (A90 north). If you are approaching Dundee from the north and east (A90 south) follow signs for the city centre to get to the main campus.  You can look on our Google map on the website to find out where your accommodation is located or use the postal code in a site like MapQuest to create a map and driving directions to find us.  The individual residence guides also have driving directions on them.
