Jade Rodger will graduate from Abertay in July 2016 with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Games Technology. In the future, she hopes to work as an animation programmer.
Abertay has a great reputation for games education and the course itself [BSc (Hons) Computer Games Technology] was pretty unique when I was applying to university. I knew that I would be graduating with the skills I needed to work in the games industry.
I really enjoyed the Technical Art module during my time at Abertay, in which we learnt about rigging and creating tools for animators.
I would say that the most valuable learning experience was the third year project, where we worked in a team to fulfil a brief. I learnt a lot about working with people. I've also made some great friends during my time here. There's a great sense of community at the university.
In the future, I hope to be working in the games industry as a programmer. My ideal job would be working as an animation programmer.
