Parker House FAQs

Accommodation application

How can I apply for a room in Parker House?

New students should apply online via the University Applicants portal - OASIS. You will receive a username and password from the Admissions Team when you apply to Abertay. If you have not received these yet please contact

Abertay University will then allocate a room and pass the student's details to Parker House who will in turn contact the student with an offer and the related paperwork. The lease will be between Parker House and the student.

Returning students should apply online via Parker House's website.

Will my lease be with Parker House or Abertay University?

Whether you are a new or returning student, your lease will be with Parker House, not the University.

The Parker House website shows all the rooms as fully booked. Am I too late to apply for a room there?

What is the arrangement between Parker House and Abertay University?

Abertay University and Parker House have a contractual agreement through which  a large number of rooms are reserved exclusively for our new students. The remaining rooms are let directly by Parker House for students registered at any of the Dundee institutions of further or higher education.

Will I be sharing a room with other Abertay students or will I be mixed in with other university/college students?

Students allocated to rooms in the Abertay University flats will be sharing with other Abertay students. Returning students, who must apply directly to Parker House, may share a flat with students from other institutions
