Primate Society of Great Britain
The 2010 PSGB spring meeting will be hosted by the Department of Psychology, University of Abertay Dundee. The conference will take place on Wednesday 7th April (full day) and Thursday 8th April (half day). As well as oral and poster presentation sessions, we will run a number of short skills workshops aimed at early career researchers (see details below).

We are delighted to announce the following keynote speakers:
- Susanne Shultz, Institute for Cognitive and Evolutionary Anthropology, University of Oxford
- Thomas Bugnyar, Department for neurobiology and biology of cognition, University of Vienna and the Konrad Lorenz Research Center
- James Anderson, Behaviour and Evolution Research Group, Department of Psychology, University of Stirling
- Carel van Schaik, Anthropological Institute and Museum, University of Zürich
Plenary presentations will be on the theme of "Social Cognition and Evolution"; however
we welcome proffered papers on any area of interest to members of PSGB. We particularly encourage submissions from postgraduate students and early career researchers with prizes being awarded for the best student presentations, including the
Charles Lockwood Medal for best oral presentation and a further award for best poster presentation. Bursaries are available to student members of PSGB to help with travel costs for those presenting at the conference (visit student pages at
www.psgb.org for further information).

Primate Society of Great Britain Céilidh
All delegates are invited to the PSGB Céilidh that will take place on the evening of Wednesday 7
th April at the APEX Hotel in Dundee. This venue is walking distance from the university and town centre. Kilt hire is also available locally for those wishing to get back to their Scottish roots (details from Dr Clare Cunningham).

Pre-conference workshop
Training primates for cognitive research: principles and practice
The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland Edinburgh Zoo
6th April 2010, 11:00 – 16:00
A workshop will be hosted at the RZSS Edinburgh Zoo to showcase cognitive research on primates in two new facilities: Budongo Trail for chimpanzees, and Living Links to Human Evolution Research Centre for capuchin and squirrel monkeys.
The workshop will include keepers and researchers giving demonstrations, talks and video presentations on a range of training done and methods used, as well as describing the facilities and their design for facilitating training.

To include refreshments and buffet lunch.
The workshop will be strictly limited to 20 delegates.
