Crowdfunding projects for arts and business launched
Two educational projects at Abertay University are campaigning for crowdfunding support, in partnership with Bloom Venture Catalyst.
Curate the Campus is raising £500 to help turn the Abertay University campus into an art exhibition, with Abertay staff and students showcasing their creative talents through the university’s buildings.
Developing Business Skills is raising £2,000 to run real-life business projects that bring together secondary schools, local businesses and students. The aim is to give school children a taste of university life, improve student employability and help businesses solve genuine problems.
Carol Ann Smith, Head of Alumni & Development at Abertay University, said: “Curate the Campus and Developing Business Skills are two very exciting projects, which show some of Abertay’s most innovative approaches to education and building community links.
“By raising crowdfunding through Bloom VC we’re aiming to take successful work at the university a step further, and give people an opportunity to get more involved with our experts in arts and business.
“We’re looking for individuals and companies interested in this area to ’make a promise’ and support these great projects.”
Both projects offer a wide range of rewards, from limited edition artworks to a creative business consultancy project.
The projects can both be supported at the Bloom VC website.
Both projects close to donors at 11pm on Sunday 22 June.
