Mature students

Around 32% of all students at Abertay are classed as mature. As a result, the Career Service is used to dealing with issues relating to age and employment.

There is much in the way of information and research findings available on how employers view applications from mature graduates. The Career Development Centre can show you how to access this information.

So how can we help you if you are a mature student or graduate?

• Make an appointment with a Careers Adviser to discuss your job hunting approach.
• Come to our seminar (run in the second semester) entitled 'Job Hunting for Mature Students'.
• Visit the Prospects website for further information on all aspects of job search for mature students.
• Use the Information and Resources Room at the careers service.
