General tips on CV writing
- Your CV should be 2 sides of A4 - no more.
- Print it on good quality, white paper.
- Use bullet points and highlighting.
- Target it to a specific occupational area.
- Make it interesting to read and attractive to look at.
- Base your CV on your skills and try to match them to the skills
required by the employer.
- Don't leave any time unaccounted for.
- Allocate space on your CV according to the relevance of information
to the employer.
- Your CV should reflect your personality.
- Always accompany it with a covering letter.
- Have it checked over by your Careers Adviser.
