I graduated from Edinburgh University with an honours degree in Sociology. Having completed the Diploma in Careers Guidance I worked for many years for the Careers Service in Edinburgh advising school leavers, adult returners to education, and college students.
In 1992 I became a Careers Adviser at Edinburgh University followed by a spell at Heriot Watt University. After a move to Tayside I was employed by the University of Abertay where I have worked happily ever since!
