A warm welcome to our International Guide - that has been especially
written with you in mind. The guide should contain all the information
you feel is important before embarking on the adventure of your life!
If you can't find the answer to your question please email our International Student Adviser or use our Ask a Question page.
Studying abroad is one of the most exciting things you can do. You will
not only learn academically, but also culturally and socially. All of these
new experiences will transfer themselves into great life skills - no
matter what subject you choose to study. International students are
given a really warm reception not only at the University but also in
Dundee as a city, which welcomes and celebrates diverse cultures.
We have no doubt that moving from school, further education, home and
family or the world of work to university will be both an exciting and
daunting experience, involving considerable changes for you. We are
aware that the lead-up to coming to Scotland and your first few days in
the University may feel a little bewildering, but don't worry as our
orientation programme will help settle any homesickness you have. Don't
forget your family and friends will be just as excited, but will also
worry about you travelling so far from home, so make sure you give them
a copy of your travel plans and the address of your accommodation.
The following pages have been prepared to help you settle in as quickly and smoothly as possible.
