Three Abertay researchers, Robin Sloan, John Isaacs and Joanna Fraser, will be taking part in the ‘Science in the City’ event this Sunday (31st January) at Dundee’s Sensation Science Centre.

Robin will be demonstrating his Emotional Avatars research, John will be showcasing the Virtual Dundee exhibition and Joanna will be discussing forensic science research.  They will be joining some of the area's best and brightest scientists who are donating their time and energy to explain the wonders of science to the community.

Scientists will share information about the newest and most exciting discoveries in life sciences, forensics, chemistry, human behavior, and other scientific disciplines.

It should be a great day out for every age, you can find out more about how scientists conduct research and young people can learn what it takes to become a scientist.

Researchers from many fields will be hosting information stands including:  civil engineering, psychology, chemistry, physics, forensic, computer science and accountancy.    They will have different activities for you to try including conducting hands-on experiments with students so you can find out what it is really like to do their job!

The event will be held this Sunday (31st January) 10-5pm at Sensation Science Centre.  Price is free with the cost of admission.
