Professor Graham Jackson, a renowned forensics expert, presented his inaugural public lecture last night (Wednesday 9th December).

Professor Jackson, who has worked in the field for almost 40 years, is currently a visiting Professor at the University of Abertay Dundee. He has worked on some of the UK’s most high profile cases including that of Liverpool toddler James Bulger.
In his lecture entitled ‘Expert Opinion – Definitely Maybe’, Professor Jackson explored the strengths and limitations of the ways in which forensic experts phrase their opinions and described how the communication of such opinions may be developed.
More than 100 people attended the lecture including legal professionals, members of Tayside Police and the SPSA fingerprint unit.
