4 December 2007
Abertay Embreonix student Willy Jouontso is bringing a touch of glamour to the university foyer this week.
From Wednesday 5 to Friday 7 December Willy will be selling beautiful Murano glass jewellery between 12noon and 5.00pm on Wednesday and 10.00am and 5.00pm on Thursday and Friday.
Willy said: “Murano glass is timeless, beautiful and makes its wearer feel special.
“The designs I sell are very colourful and many contain 24ct gold, 18ct white gold or Sterling silver foil.
“I know everyone has just been paid that we’re all thinking about Christmas presents. I would strongly recommend having a look at my jewellery, it’s breathtaking.”
Willy, originally from French Cameroun, is a postgraduate student in Embreonix, where he is developing his own business marketing the hand-made jewellery from craftsmen in Venice.
“Designing and producing Murano glass is an art form which is passed from generation to generation,” says Willy.
Willy studied a management and marketing diploma at Idrac in Paris before enrolling on Abertay’s BA (Hons) in European Economy & Management in 2002. He went on to complete the MBA before enrolling on the postgraduate Diploma in Enterprise Creation in Embreonix.
