Music-for-the-games-industry Workshop
Abertay University is to host a music-for-the-games-industry workshop as part of GoDundee’s forthcoming one-day music festival.
The workshop will be delivered by Scottish composer and music producer Ged Grimes and will focus on the issues facing musicians creating tracks for the games industry. The history of music in games, the requirements of composing for an interactive environment and how best to protect your work and maximise its potential will be the three main topics covered.
Ged Grimes, the former Danny Wilson bassist, is one of the most highly respected figures in today’s digital entertainment industry and has been writing, producing and performing music for over 20 years.
This free workshop, aimed at those interested in creating musical content for games, takes place in the Hannah Maclure Centre, top floor of Abertay’s Student Centre, on 1 March from 1.00pm – 5.00pm.
