A major transformer failure knocked out power to the main campus of Abertay on Friday (19 January), but prompt action by engineers from Scottish & Southern Energy and the University's own Estates and Campus Services and IS staff ensured that power was restored and almost all ICT systems up and running as normal by 5pm on Friday. The University has been open over the weekend and will be back to business as normal on Monday (22 January).
