The university has a sports centre open for all employees and students at very reasonable rates. It also holds several exercise classes from Body Blitz to Yoga. There are events held throughout the year to check employee’s blood pressure, weight and fitness level and promotes healthy eating.
The university has an Occupational Health Advisor who can help with day to day questions about health and well-being to more serious conditions and how the university can support this. There is also a counselling service available to staff.
There is also a university chaplain who officiates at university ceremonies, conducts prayers, services and acts of worship for the university community and support student societies. The university caters for all spiritual needs with on-site prayer room.
