Graduating in person
Guest Tickets
Up to a maximum of five guest tickets per graduand can be purchased at a cost of £6 per ticket. Tickets for children under five years of age are free of charge.
Purchasing of guest tickets should be done online through the
Graduation Registration page using a credit or debit card. Depending on numbers, there may be additional guest tickets available nearer Graduation Day and graduands will be notified by email if this is the case.
Tickets to the ceremonies will be available for collection from the Registration Desk in the Caird Hall Complex from 2.00-4.30pm on Thursday 24 November or on Graduation Day.
Academic Dress
All graduands are expected to wear academic dress comprising a gown and hood. Mortar boards are not worn. You should dress appropriately for a formal occasion and it is recommended that men wear a dark suit or jacket and trousers and women wear a dark skirt or dress trousers with a white blouse. We also encourage graduands to wear their national dress.
Academic dress for the University is provided by
Irish Legal & Academic Ltd to whom all orders should be sent. You should arrange for the hire of your academic dress as soon as possible. You must reserve your academic dress at least 21 days before the Ceremony.
Collecting your Academic Dress
You can collect your gowns and hoods from
Irish Legal & Academic Ltd in the Ashton Hall (part of the Caird Hall Complex) between 2.00pm and 4.30pm on Thursday 24 November or between 8.30am and 10.00am on Graduation Day.
Gowns should be returned to the Ashton Hall by no later than 3.00pm unless special arrangements have been made.
