Graduating in absentia

Do I have to attend the ceremony?

No you don’t have to attend the ceremony in person. This means that your certificate of award will be conferred upon you in absentia and will be posted to you after the Graduation Ceremony. You should note that if you choose to graduate in absentia you will not be permitted to take part in any future ceremonies for the same award.

If you choose to graduate in absentia, you must still register for graduation and pay the Graduation Registration Charge. Certificates of award are not issued until you have formally graduated.
